Planes of Human Existence

THEE NOTE: This section assumes familiarity with the Primal Quests.

Models for «Being»

We readily and unconsciously project our selves and parts of our experience into the external world. We can use this imaginative process with the Primal Quests too. In doing that, each Primal Quest becomes a model for «existing» or «how to be» i.e. a «Model Being». The imagined Being is a «model» in both senses of the term:

  • worthy of imitation
  • perfect and complete.

The disembodied abstract Model Being represents an imaginary form of existence. However, once these models are created, they, in effect, become real within psychosocial reality. As a result, the question "Does God exist?" can now have a simple straightforward answer that makes sense.
It is: ClosedYes—in our imagination.

ClosedReminder about Primal Quests

There is a marked difference between one Primal Quest and the Primal Quest at the next Level up or down. This means there are marked differences in the imagined forms of the Model Beings.

Each Model Being operates in its own distinctive way, so they are best viewed as inhabiting their own Plane of Existence. The term «Plane» seems more suitable here than Level or Type. There will naturally be marked differences in the qualities of the various Planes, although all must be constituted in a similar fashion.

Life on Different Planes

Having imaginatively transformed the 7 Primal Quests into 7 Model Beings, which function on 7 Planes of Existence, it becomes possible to examine intrinsic properties.

  • An obvious property is hierarchical order. Because the Quests are hierarchically ordered, the Model Beings and the Planes are also hierarchically ordered.

    Because the Model Beings were created and used by us to guide us in living properly as human beings, the Planes must be constituted to enable this.

  • We use ethical and creative choices as frames of reference to judge our degree of humanity («living properly»). So these dimensions must be distinctively generated by each of the Planes. (Cf. space and time as the dimensions required for physical existence.)

    In exploring the nature of Model Beings and their Existential Planes, I will therefore focus on hierarchical transitions and how any Model Being on its Existential Plane handles:

  • ethical choice
  • creativity.

THEE Note:Closed As some confirmation of the Primal Quest ordering, I will note how each Being/Plane has a particularly strong affinity with a corresponding level in the Levels of Will i.e. the Root Hierarchy.

Now turn now to psychosocial existence. When you arrange a meeting, or assist someone, or develop a business, what are the crucial factors? (Physical aspects are certainly important, absolutely vital—but we want to mentally put those specifications to one side because that is not our focus.)

What will be going through your mind will be careful definitions of things like: the purpose (e.g. of the meeting, of the assistance, of the business), targets for change (e.g. what to achieve in the meeting, the benefit aimed at in the assistance, what increase in turnover to produce), attention to those involved (e.g. courtesy and protocol at the meeting, relevance and impact of the assistance, morale of staff and fairness to customers).

There are more factors of course, but the point is that purpose, attention, change—and indeed everything that is creative and ethical in human life—are the defining constraints in relation to your choices.

So particular constellations of creative and ethical factors are what define the various Planes for Psychosocial Existence.

While Primal Quests are Types that are independent of each other and near-incompatible, the 7 Planes of Existence and the Model Beings naturally interact and influence each other.
ClosedWhy?

The way that Model Beings function is a reflection of how we naturally function in ways that are beyond biology. The distinctiveness of the Planes means that their use varies according to the person's natural ability and chosen aspirations. Influences and interactions between Planes are considered in the next section.

  • This line of inquiry leads to some surprising findings and conclusions that may excite, intrigue or disturb you. Continue with an open mind and confront the divine.
